Dark Side of the Moon A Cappella There are many Pink Floyd cover bands worldwide. We review the American tribute bands and acts who are USA based - including "Bricks in The Wall", "Echoes of Pink Floyd", "Think Floyd USA", "Brain Damage", "Any Colour You Like", "Another Brick int The Wall", "Pink Noise" , "Project Floyd" and "Pink Voyd" amongst others.

These bands aim to reproduce the atmosphere and experience of a classic Pink Floyd concert, including stunning light and laser shows and special effects! All of these groups provide a great night out for those of us missing the real thing. Close your eyes and you can imagine that guitar solo being played by David Gilmour!

So far we have found 29 USA Pink Floyd tribute acts. They can be seen playing at venues such as "The House of Blues" in Cleveland, Ohio and The Space Coast Convention Center in Florida.

ABTW are a cover band from New England, USA, reproducing the music from of all the Pink Floyd albums including Dark Side of The Moon amd The Wall.

 

Any Colour You Like

Formed in 2002 in Ohio with Dan Johnson on Guitar performing as David Gilmour, Dan Gable on Bass as Roger Waters, Chet Mull, Drummer, as Nick Mason and Mark McCutcheon, keyboards as Richard Wright.

Their show features "Dark Side of OZ" a full length production of Dark Side of the Moon synchronized to a The Wizard of OZ Video.

Childhood's End from Syracuse, New York, United States
, managed by Greg Jackson, are - Lead singer Tim Robinson , Guitarist Greg Pacicca, keyboardist Steve Schad, drummer Eric Garboushian, Jimmy Simpson on bass and occasional guests Evan Knight on saxophone and Rick Mulvihill vocals and acoustic guitar.

Their original singer Ian Cattell has left the band to tour with the Australian Pink Floyd

 

Dark Side of the Moon A Cappella

Not strictly a triute band but "Dark Side of the Moon A Cappella" is an all-vocal version of "Dark Side of the Moon" recorded and available to buy on CD and Vinyl. No instruments were used in the recording.

This band from California comprise of

Lead singer Mark Showalter has headlined at various festivals and concert venues including the Sarasota Blues Festival, Santa Cruz Blues Festival, Peter Gabriels' WOMAD Festival and The Las Vegas Aladdin Casino, B.B. King's club in NYC.

From Portland, Oregon, USA "Pigs on the Wing" evolved from the Portland rock band OxcarT's live performances of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

A 3 piece Pink Floyd Tribute Band from Pittsburgh PA USA comprising of Roger Cegelski - lead guitar/vocals, Dennis Damp - bass guitar/vocals) and Randy Cegelski on Drums. Their live stage show is approximately three hours long

This 4 piece tribute band are from New England. Pink Voyd recreate the classics live without sequencers or using prerecorded backing tracks. Their light show has controlled lasers, video projection, and robotic lighting.

Pulse

Despite their name Pulse are not strictly a Pink Floyd tribute act as they include the music of The Beatles, Blues Brothers, Deep Purple, Santana, Steely Dan, Moody Blues and Jethro Tull amongst others in their set. But they do play a handful of Floyd songs.

Their line up includes: Rod Gilkeson - vocalist, Greg Van Allen - Vocals & Guitar, Bill Fox - vocals & bass ,Bob Ashmore - Keyboards and
Bill Fenstermacher - drummer.

Relics, formed in 2002, are from Buffalo, New York and are Kevin Kukoda - vocals ,keyboards, Erin Ward - lead and acoustic guitars and keyboards, Joe Muffoletto - vocals and lead guitars , Chris Martin - bass guitarist ,Shannon Street - drums and percussion.

Named after another great Floydian song "Several Species" hail from Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
 

Sons Of Nothing

From Utah in the US "Sons of Nothing" are Matt Meldrum, Tim Hollinger, Daryn Campbell and Thom Bowers. Formed in 2001 SoN have been performing a full tribute show since 2002.

They have released 3 CDs of original songs - "Sons of Nothing", "One Left Turn" and "Clarity". The band have shared billing with acts such as Joan Jett and Montrose.

 

The Machine

Pink Floyd tribute band formed 20 years ago in New York. The Machine line up includes Joe Pascarell - guitar, vocals, Todd Cohen - drums, Ryan Ball -bass, vocals, and Scott Chasolen - keyboards, vocals.

In 2004 "The Machine" released a DVD/CD “Two Nights at the Keswick”.
