Think floyd live Since Think Floyd formed in the UK in 1994 many more Pink Floyd tribute bands have been formed. At the present time there are over 80 Pink Floyd cover bands worldwide.

These bands cover classic songs ranging from Arnold Layne & Bike through classics from Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall up to the most recent tracks from The Division Bell.

Breathe - The delicate sound of Floyd.

Northamptonshire based Breathe perform onstage with up to 8 players They focus mainly on Floyd’s post 70’s material but they also play some of the earlier Syd Barrett inspired works .

Dark Side of The Wall

An eight piece Pink Floyd tribute band from Coventry who have been together since 1996. The band started when former lead guitarist John Wall performed some Pink Floyd songs at his 50th Birthday party.

DSOTW have had several line-up changes over the years.

 

Floyd 2

Like the UK Think Floyd, Floyd also write, play and record music in the style of Pink Floyd.

The band are: Pete Collin - Lead Vocalist, Chris Goodband - Guitarist, Dave Boggon - Bass, Tom Rose - Keyboard player, Ian Forsyth - Drums, Sarah Travena - Saxaphone and Heather Walker - backing Vocalist.

 

Floydian Slip

This band from Nottinghamshire, England started playing in working men's clubs. They now use a quadraphonic sound system, a huge video screen utilising the latest digital projection technology and computer controlled intelligent lighting with lasers.
 

Just Floyd

Mac Floyd are an 8 piece tribute based in Scotland. Macfloyd band members are : Billy, Will, Dee, Stevie, Ian, Sammi and Michelle.

Perfect Alibi

Perfect Alibi are Rick Gaunlett, Dave Blake, Martin Clegg, Carly Hearn, Lorna Cox, Mike Blatchford, Ricky Hearn and Graeme Wallace. Long established band using sophisticated lighting, projections, lasers, and pyrotechnics in their live performances.
 

Pig Floyd

Pig Floyd are from London, England. Their current show is over two hours long. They perform a collection of Pink Floyd classics from the whole Pink Floyd catalogue, from 'Pipers At The Gates Of Dawn' to 'The Division Bell'.
including: Time, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Great Gig In The Sky, Astronomy Domine, Sheep, One Of These Days and Comfortably Numb.
 

Pink Fraud

Another Kent/SE London based Pink Floyd Tribute band including Phil Burns on Bass and Phil Simpson on Sax (Phil Simpson played Sax on the Tony Red album "Positive Waves")

Pink Fraud have some gear that originally belonged to Pink Floyd and their guitarist proudly owns one of David Gilmour's plectrums.

Pink Side of the Moon

From Maidstone and Medway in the South East of England, Pink Side of the Moon have now changed their name to "Just Floyd".

 

Prognosis

Not strictly a Pink Floyd tribute but Prognosis do include several Floyd numbers, including Time from Dark Side Of The Moon in their progressive Rock tribute act in gigs around Surrey.

Pulse

Pulse are based in Lancashire, England. They began life as a one off special concert to help a local theatre in Chorley. With all the lighting and special effects their show now takes approximately 6-7 hours to set up!

 

Pure Floyd

Formed in 1999 Pure Floyd are from Swansea in Wales.
 

Pynk Floid

Pynk Floid are from Nottingham in the UK.

Relics

Newcomers to the tribute bandwagon from Kent formed in 2006. Malcolm Knight - Vocals & Bass, Dave Balentine - Keyboards, Chris Barnett - Lead Guitar, Keyboards & Backing Vocals, Robin Beames - drums and vocals.

Relics have played at Sutton Valence and Boughton near Maidstone in Kent.

 

Shine On

8 piece band Shine On from the North East of England were granted permission to use the Original Pink Floyd inflatable pig for a gig at Newcastle City Hall!

Ted Hunter - Guitar and vocals, Fletch Christian - Guitar and vocals, Paul Loseby - keyboards and vocals, Rob Smith - drums and voices, Roy Clinton - bass guitar, Phillipa King - vocals, Steph Adams- vocals, Jen Normandale - vocals.

 

The New Machine

The New Machine from Torbay in Devon in the UK were formed by vocalist and guitarist Mark Emery in 1998 who toured for many years in the USA and the World with The Average White Band and Wishbone Ash as a sound engineer and tour manager.

The New Machine have now released their own version of "Another Brick In The Wall" featuring a performance by rapper, MC Coleman - with permission from Pink Floyd. They will be performing this single live in their tour set. THay have also released an album - "Interstellar Rockstar" - the title track, an original song reached number 49 in the Rolling Stone mp3 chart.

Band members: Mark Emery - Guitar and Vocals, Jamie Darling - Drums and Vocals, Nigel Pike - Bass Guitar, Paul Matthews - Keyboards, Sam Scott and Dani Turner - Vocals, MC Coleman - Rap Vocals.

Time to Breathe UK Pink Floyd tribute bandAn eleven piece band based in Northamptonshire UK who were formed in the summer of 2005.

7 piece Kent based Pink Floyd Tribute band. Formed by Paul Luckhurst of "Pink Side of the Moon" in 2005, Other band members are Robert Gerrard, Peter Spokes, Duraid Alkazraji, Andy Graham and Rudyard Burley. Their favourite place to play is Earls venue pub in Maidstone, Kent.

Wish We Were Them

A Pink Floyd Tribute Band from Hereford, "Wish We Were Them" are:
Wiz Davies - Guitar & Vocals, Andrew Sterling-Brown - Keyboards & Vocals,
Andy Brandon - Bass Guitar, Will Thomas - Keyboards & Electric Fiddle.

"Wish We Were Them" perform a two hour set with pyrotechnics, inflatables & intelligent lighting. They were conceived one night around a pub table in the village of Eardisley in Herefordshire
