David Gilmour's offer to play at Glastonbury Festival rejectedTuesday 2nd June 2008. David Gilmour is reported to have contacted Michael Eavis earlier in the year about whether he could join headline acts Kings of Leon jay-Z and The Verve. Apparently the offer was turned down because Michael Eavis feels that Dave Gilmour wouldn’t appeal to a younger generation . The 2008 Glastonbury Festival takes place from June 27th - June 29th. |
Dave Gilmour to perform 'Atom Heart Mother' live with Italian Pink Floyd Tribute Band Mun FloydThe instrumental suite from Pink Floyd's fifth album Atom Heart Mother will be performed on June 14th and 15th 2008 as part of the Chelsea Festival at Cadogan Hall by its co-composer Ron Geesin. The show will feature Italian Pink Floyd tribute band Mun Floyd, cellist Caroline Dale, a brass ensemble from The Royal College Of Music and a 40-strong chorus - Canticum. Ron Geesin has revealed that Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour will perform in the June 15th performance .
